Emma C. Hamer, longtime chapter member, passed away March 21, 2014 after contracting a respiratory infection during her battle with cancer. In 2002 Emma helped organize “ShapeShifters”, an STC Region 7 Conference held in Vancouver, BC.
Career technical communicator focused on addressing user’s informational needs. Specialized writing about software products and services, and infrastructure processes. Held various roles in STC Canada West Coast chapter including president.
I didn’t know Emma, but I think it is wonderful that you have taken the time to honour her memory here.
