The STC Canada West Coast chapter will participate again this year at Word Vancouver (formerly Word on the Street), an annual festival celebrating reading, literacy, print, language, and writing of all kinds. The STC booth will show the sometimes invisible face of technical communication to the general public. We hope to meet potential members, employers, and colleagues and demonstrate the value of hiring a technical communicator, joining the STC, and volunteering to give back to one’s professional community.
Event organizers expect up to 40,000 people this year, so it will be a great opportunity to network with people outside the tech comm community. Look for us at Booth V-11 on the Homer Street side of the Vancouver Public Library, Central Branch.
