Event Description
The biggest mistake technical writers make when writing training is focusing on the content. Is your training effective? Does it ever seem flat and boring?
This hands-on workshop will teach you the nuts and bolts of authoring training. Learn to use a combination of context, challenge and feedback and the four Ms (meaningful, memorable, motivational and measurable) to create training that sticks.

I’ve been seeing what I can find about the field of Instructional Design.
I’m really curious about the the last two M’s–motivational and measurable–because I tend to value things that I can measure and because I want because I want to see how I can structure information to motivate people.
I am really looking forward to this seminar.
Even though I am an instructional designer, I’m always learning something new. Jim has a wealth of knowledge and I’m looking forward to learning more from him at the workshop!
I’m also curious about the motivational part. It can be challenging to make content engaging and I’m always looking for new ways to keep learners engaged.
Great workshop! Congrats to Autumn and Mark for making it happen!
