Membership

The Society for Technical Communication (STC) is the world’s leading organization for advancing technical communication and improving the skills of its members. As a member of STC, you have access to a worldwide network of professionals, international job postings, dozens of free or discounted webinars, product discounts, and many other benefits. You can join one or more local chapters, in Canada and around the world, and special-interest groups that focus on particular aspects of technical communication such as editing, academic writing, consulting, and usability.

How to Join

The membership year runs from January to December, but dues are prorated throughout the year, so if you join later in the year you pay less. Rates are lower year-round for students and recent graduates.

Simply fill in the membership form and send your payment to the STC head office in Virginia. Be sure to select Canada West Coast as your chapter.

If you’re a member of STC but not a member of the Canada West Coast chapter, contact STC head office to add the chapter to your membership.
