As far back as the early 2000s, the term content operations was used to explain an important concept in content production. The term didn’t really resonate, though, until related concepts such as DevOps, FinOps, and AIOps started being discussed. In the last few years, the idea of ContentOps –optimizing content production to better leverage content has come into its own, so much so that a book for practitioners has been published, with contributors primarily from tech comm backgrounds. This presentation by Rahel Bailie explores the how and why of content operations, and discusses the book, Content Operations from Start to Scale.
