The 2016 Editors Canada national conference is coming to the Coast Plaza Hotel and Suites in Vancouver, June 10 to 12.
Editors Canada (formerly EAC, the Editors’ Association of Canada) is the national organization that promotes professional editing as key to producing effective communication. Its 1,500 members work with individuals and organizations in the corporate, technical, government, not-for-profit, academic, and publishing sectors across the country and around the world.
The preliminary schedule for the conference includes more than 40 hours of workshops, presentations, and panels, with topics ranging from copyright law to crowdfunding.
“I’ve been to two conferences now, and have loved every minute,” said Sue Archer, a member of Editors Canada. “I always feel so energized when I’m surrounded by people who understand my passion for words. I have learned so much from everyone, and I know I am a better editor because of it. The conference is such a fantastic opportunity to share ideas, and I can’t wait to see everyone in Vancouver this year!”
STC members are encouraged to attend. Registration for the conference closes May 27.
