Three STC Canada West Coast chapter executive members will be participating in a panel discussion at the annual BCIT Technical Writing Alumni Lunch on Saturday, September 16th at the BCIT downtown Vancouver campus.
The theme is Communication for a Complex World, and the STC Canada West Coast chapter speakers bring three different perspectives to the current challenges in our field.
Serena Beck (chapter president) works for a global medical company and deals with the complexity of multiple audiences/multiple languages.
Stephen Gauer (chapter past president) handles complexity by bringing a wide skillset and wide perspective (writing, teaching, journalism, communications) to every project.
Beverlee Bishundayal (chapter secretary/treasurer and BCIT alum) handles multiple communications tasks including technical writing, marketing, and editing as the solo writer for a company in the mining industry for an education and training provider.
If you’d like to attend but are not BCIT alum, 15 seats have been made available to STC Canada West Coast chapter members or Tech Comm Café attendees. Simply identify yourself as such when you RSVP.
Registration for the event begins at 11:30 a.m. Pacific Time on Saturday, September 16th. The speakers’ panel starts at noon.
