The Canada West Coast chapter’s Volunteer of the Year award was created “to honour an exemplary volunteer whose generous contributions of time, energy, and ideas demonstrate sustained commitment, enhance the chapter’s services to its members, and inspire others to help the chapter thrive.”
We’re pleased to announce that Beverlee Bishundayal has been named 2019/20 Volunteer of the Year. Although the COVID-19 pandemic prevented us from hosting a volunteer appreciation lunch in person this year, we presented Beverlee with a certificate of appreciation and a gift as a token of our high regard for her contributions.
Beverlee has been an active and enthusiastic volunteer since 2015, starting as Student Outreach Coordinator and then adding Secretary, Treasurer, and Director / Advisor to the Board to her very full list of responsibilities. Through it all, she’s maintained a strong commitment to high standards, hard work, and integrity, acting as a role model for other volunteers.
Beverlee is now taking a break from volunteering to devote more time to her education and her career. It’s been a pleasure working with her and we’d welcome her back anytime. Best of luck, Beverlee, and thank you!
