Event Agenda
Welcome from event organizers
What is communication convergence?
Perspectives on clear communication
As communicators, our role is to create clarity. But what separates our professional fields? Each association will present its perspective on plain language and clear communication, given the:
- contexts we operate in
- materials we work with
- extent of our intervention
- focus of our work
- methods we apply
What is the real-world demand on communicators?
We will hear from a publisher, a community organizer, a managing editor, and educators.
Moving forward
What challenges are we facing? Where do we go from here?
Remember to celebrate International Plain Language Day October 13!
Thank you, Autumn, for helping plan the event. It was great to participate in a conference with our sister organizations. For those interested in my presentation “Technical Content Meets Plain Language” please send me a message. It includes author tips for machine translation, that is making English content ‘global-ready’.
