Event Description
Technical writing may same seem like an introverted profession, but there can be a high degree of person-to-person engagement. The sharper your ability to verbally communicate, the more likely you are to succeed in your profession.
Your résumé and interview are extensions of a presentation. Regardless if you have experience or not, if you present well, your interviewer will remember you. An employer may take a chance on you, all because you prepared an effective presentation.
Our expert panelists from Toastmasters will discuss presentation best practices including:
- setting goals with your target audience in mind when developing content;
- building presentations using a storytelling structure;
- adopting the “less is more” strategy with MS PowerPoint and other media; and
- taming your nerves and building confidence.
This is a hands-on seminar where you will hone your presentation skills and apply what you’ve learned in small groups. It’s also a great opportunity to connect with other professionals!
