On Saturday, Sept 28, 2019, 10 adults and 7 kids enjoyed a sunny, blustery, fall day in the park to celebrate the STC Canada West Coast’s 40th anniversary. We chased the sun around the park to ensure that we stayed warm while we ate our ice cream cake and drank our Tim Horton’s tea and coffee.
We discussed culture in our workplaces and how we speak today. We also talked about working from home and retirement. We discussed the various types of jobs that are available for technical writers and the multitude of subjects that technical writers write about. Since most of our attendees love to travel, we even had a guest travel agent attend our event. We ended talking about our favourite comedians. Amber Ruffin was highly recommended. We are looking forward to our next event together.
