STC Canada West Coast chapter officers hold office from June 1 to May 31 each year. At the April 25, 2015, annual general meeting, we’ll be holding elections to fill these roles for the coming year.
In particular, we’re actively seeking members in good standing to put their names forward for the position of Vice-President, leading to the President’s job in the following year. It’s a busy but rewarding job that gives you the opportunity to work with and learn from a group of dedicated people, and to make a positive contribution to your professional community.
The current Vice-President, Mala Rupnarain, will move into the President’s role on June 1. The current President, Autumn Jonssen, will become Past President.
The current Secretary, Moise Potie, and Treasurer, Mark Matsuno, have accepted nominations for re-election to their respective roles. If they run unopposed, they will be elected by acclamation.
If you’d like to nominate someone or volunteer yourself to run for office, or if you want more information, please contact Heather Sommerville, Volunteer Coordinator, at volunteer@stcwestcoast.ca before April 2, 2015.
We look forward to seeing you at the AGM as a candidate or participant. The meeting will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 25; location will be announced later.
