The STC Canada West Coast chapter will participate this year at Word Vancouver (formerly Word on the Street), an annual festival celebrating reading, literacy, print, language, and writing of all kinds. The STC booth will show the sometimes invisible face of technical communication to the general public.
We’re looking for volunteers to staff the booth, especially in the afternoon. Contact volunteer [at] stcwestcoast.ca if you can stay for a couple of hours to meet people, hand out brochures, and answer questions. It’s a great opportunity to network with people both within and outside the tech comm community.
Date: Sunday, September 28, 2014
Time: The event is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time. Volunteers are needed for two-hour slots between 10 and 6 to allow for setup and takedown.
Location: Library Square and Homer Street, downtown Vancouver
