The Society for Technical Communication (STC) Canada West Coast chapter is pleased to announce the award of five STC student memberships during 2022.
Two students are currently enrolled at Mount Royal University, Ruth-Anne Klassen and Tomas Remington; Two other students are enrolled at Douglas College, Beverley Burrows-Pym and Hannah Lind, and Melissa Huang is enrolled at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, in Burnaby.
This year’s student membership award winners have backgrounds in subjects such as: education, communications, multimedia development, and biology. Similarly, their interests vary from ethics, and plain language, to going for walks, and reading.
“Joining the west coast chapter has already been a great learning experience in the months that I have been part of the group, and I look forward to gaining more writing, networking, and other volunteering experience with them.”
Ruth-Anne Klassen
The chapter looks forward to welcoming the new student members to the technical communication community. See you soon!
