In 2017, the STC Canada West Coast chapter awarded 6 students an STC membership. For 2018, the Society for Technical Communication (STC) Canada West Coast chapter is pleased to cover the $65 (US) annual STC student membership fee for up to 10 post-secondary students in British Columbia.
To be eligible, students must provide proof of current enrollment at a post-secondary technical, professional, or business writing program in British Columbia, either full or part-time.
From stc.org: “Student members receive all Professional & Academic member benefits, plus one professional chapter, one student chapter, one Academic and one additional Special Interest Group (SIG) membership for free.”

To apply, download the Word form, fill it out it, and email it to admin@stcwestcoast.ca.
Deadline for applications is end of the day Friday, November 17, 2017. Winners will be announced in early December. The free memberships will run from January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018.
